Review: The Bane Chronicles

0.5 out of 5 stars

Nope. This one goes in the Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy pile – not enough to make even short stories interesting.

Goodreads: The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare and others

I made it through three of the 10 stories on the audiobook: “What Really Happened in Peru,” “The Runaway Queen” and “Vampires, Scones and Edmund Herondale” before I gave up in dismay. I hate to call these money-grabs, just trying to cash in on readers who love Clare’s full works, but they’re so bad they can hardly be called anything else. I won’t be trying the rest!

I’m binge-watching “Shadowhunters” on Freeform and I did like that they dropped in the charengo instrument that Magnus played in that short story during the Ragnor Fell plot. Bravo, research.
